I love the movies and I love fashion…I love to see if "my picks" actually win. But what I most enjoy is selecting my favorite looks of the evening. I'm an old soul and think Oscars dresses should be the most glam of the year.
Hosted this year by Neil Patrick Harris The Grand Budapest and Birdman took home heaps of trophies. If we had trophies for fashion...
Here are my winners…
Best Va Va Voom of the evening goes to Margo Robbie. Her black sheer long sleeve Saint Laurent gown was stunning! I loved the retro Van Cleef and Arpels necklace that was made for the Duchess of Windsor in the 1930's. I loved her deep side part and her perfectly polished makeup.
Rosamund Pike was truly 'Amazing Amy' in her radiant red Givenchy. A perfectly coiffed bun was a great choice for a damp evening on the red carpet. I am in awe of her fantastic figure after just having a baby just weeks ago! The simple slim strap red shoe was a perfect pairing. Loved this look!
Everyone who knows me knows I love Jennifer Lopez. She has the best skin in Hollywood, one of the best figures and she's multi talented. Tonight she glowed at the Oscars. When you think of "THE OSCAR DRESS" this is the dress you imagine! Elie Saab knows how to make a stunner…and JLo knows how to WURK it!
Okay…so she is best known as a supermodel…Victoria Secret goddess…oh and John Legend's wife…Chrissy Teigen. Tonight she was Oscar Goddess! Simply beautiful in a baby soft blue Zuhair Murad, her hair was perfect and her makeup was lovely. I love the neckline and glamor of the train.
Emma Stone is usually always on target with her fashion…and tonight is no exception. I absolutely Loved her hair and makeup! Her green vintage looking Haute Couture Elie Saab was fabulous! Totally Oscar worthy and totally different than anyone else on the red carpet. Emma is a class act!
Jennifer Hudson walked the red carpet in a lovely yellow Romana Keveza column gown. I especially loved the simplistic lines and the color on Jennifer's skin. Her hair is lovely short and her makeup was perfectly done. Her performance later in the evening was beautiful!
My final pick of the evening is Faith Hill. My favorites wouldn't be the same without a J. Mendel and Faith wore it well. Surprisingly sweet in her new pixie, she and husband Tim were a darling duo. This is probably my favorite look on Faith for as long as I can remember. Simply gorgeous.
