My favorite part about the Emmys is (of course) the RED CARPET. Red…White and Black seemed to be the trend. I can always find things to love. This list is reserved for my favorites as different as they all are…
Lizzy, Lizzy, Lizzy Caplan…my favorite of the evening! I must admit I don't know Lizzy so well but after tonight…I will be keeping an eye on her. This Donna Karan Atelier halter cutout is simply fabulous. Her hair is perfectly sleek and fitting. Beautiful but refined Neil Lane jewels seals the deal. Love it! Head to toe glamour.
My second favorite of the evening was the ever lovely Sofia Vergara. In a stunning white Roberto Cavalli with silver detailing she was gorgeous. Everything about her looks healthy…beautiful shiny hair and flawless makeup. I love her spirit too. When asked why she didn't bring her boyfriend (the hunky Joe Manganiello) she simply stated "he's too hot for the red carpet".
Red ruled the Red Carpet this year. I love when women take chances and march to the beat of their own drum. January Jones always seems to do this. Stepping out with a new fringe and an artistic Prabal Gurung she was effortless. She rarely gets it wrong. She has moxie and I love it!
Now…let's move on to my Superlatives :)
Best 'Real Woman' goes to Octavia Spencer. Juicy girls everywhere take note…Tadashi Shoji makes gorgeous gowns that fit curves beautifully. I myself wore a Tadashi Shoji to the Paul Mitchell Gathering's Hollywood party several years ago and it's still one of my favorite gowns. Octavia…You look marvelous!
Best 'Tea Length' Ahhhhh Jessica Pare in Lanvin is a dream. Head to Christian Louboutin toe glamour. Fantastic choice for the Emmy Awards.
Best 'All Around" goes to Amanda Crew. I must say I'm a sucker for Max Azria Atelier…this gown is impeccable. Amanda is glowing with suburb makeup and hair. I wish I could fit into this…I'm sure she would loan it to me :)
Best 'baby bump" & Best Plunging Neckline' goes to Hayden Panettiere. No better way to sparkle than revealing she's expecting a girl in a glamourous Lorena Sarbu gown. If you have read any of my other award show blogs, you will know that I love a plunging neckline. So what she is preggers…she looks beautiful and happy! I wish I looked this amazing when I was pregnant! Congratulaions Hayden!
Best 'Shut Yo Mouth' goes to Gwen Stefani. Daring neckline…check…sparkle…check…smooth stunning blonde hair…check…Versace…check…seriously I am a bit obsessed with Gwen Stefani so I find no fault in this star. Love it or Leave it…remember Gwen is a ROCKER and only she could pull this Versace off. I personally love it. Did I mention she just had a baby?
Best 'Couple" goes to Aaron Paul and his lovely wife Lauren Parsekian. Aaron was dapper in his head to toe Prada…yes…I said Prada. Lauren was the cutest thing in a stunning Lorena Sarbu gown (ummm Lorena…will you be my bestie?) OK…so what I LOVE about this couple the most?? They #giveback and #livebeautifully If you don't follow Aaron on twitter…you must…He is the real deal. He also crashed Lauren's charity site (kind campaign) when he mentioned it in his acceptance speech. Love these two!
Best 'groomed' goes to Jon Hamm (groomed by the lovely Diana Schmidke) and Adam Levigne. Looking effortless and handsome both men shined at the Emmys.
Heaps of stylists, hairdressers, designers and makeup artists work tirelessly to put these lovelies together. I am so honored and grateful to be a part of the greatest profession in world. Cheers!
