In my quest to be closer to the stars...I give you my Glam Report for the Grammy's
As much as I love fashion...I equally love Music so pair them up and I'm in heaven. How exciting would it be to play and sing with Sir Elton John? Ok...I admit I couldn't exactly play and sing but I could be entertaining for lunch or maybe a cup of tea??
The first to really wow me on the Red Carpet was Taylor Swift...yeah...yeah I know I have put her on my list before but honestly this chick has style (admit it...even her choice of men are cute) and the videographer must have agreed because they constantly showed her in the audience throughout the evening.
Her hair was young and fun...a great match for her J. Mendel gown. It had a very Romanist feeling to it. Loved the total package.
I absolutely loved Rhianna's custom Azzedine Alaia gown. A perfect match for her complexion. It was creative, yet elegant...maybe this "dress memo" worked out ok. Her hair was simple but looked great. I imagine we will be getting lots of requests for these waves.
Mint is the color for Spring, so it is no surprise to me that Katy Perry showed up in a form fitting, curve flattering, va va voom Gucci gown. My biggest question...What type of knickers does she have under there? It is totally seamless and no bends (ladies...you know what I mean!) She said she was "inspired by Priscilla Presley (when she was married to Elvis)" Im certain Elvis would have approved!
It's so hard for me to just pick three so I must add one more...To complete my list of favorites... I proudly support "cut outs". Kelly Rowland wowed in this Georges Chakra gown. It's sexy without being trashy. I love it! Her hair, her makeup...she looks stunning.
My favorite men of the night... First, let me start by saying that justin Timberlake had a stellar performance, one of my favorite of the evening. I do have a soft spot for Motown and Retro style...I enjoyed that he was bold and stepped out differently than all the rest. He looked suave. A complete cool cat.
Adam was another cool cat on the Red Carpet and the stage. His performance with Alicia Keys was fantastic and he was looking lusciously dapper.
I can't wait to see what the Oscar's will bring!
